Cristina Dovan on abundance and prosperity

Wealth starts in your mind

In order to have the ability to master money first you have to master your mind, working on your mindset is the most important project you will ever work on, and working on personal growth opens doors of abundance and prosperity. Wealth is born in your mind, you have to keep your emotions in check, heal your trauma so you do not use money as a substitute to cover deep emotional wounds. If you have fear around money, uncertainty, greed and carelessness it will limit you and your subconscious view of money will make you sabotage every opportunity that comes your way.  We have to have a visual of how we were raised to think about money and discern between what is real and what is conditioning. Conditioning or money blueprint is our understanding of money that comes from other people. You need to identify the ways you have learned about the purpose of money because that can have ramifications later on in every area of your life.

Money is a tool to advance us in healthy ways, money is not a substitute for happiness and human connections, and it is not a substitute for manners or love. Money is something that can help you grow and elevate you.  No matter how much money you have and what you can buy if there is something that makes you unhappy money will amplify it and you will be even more disappointed because you expected to be happier once you have more money. It is the wrong way of looking at things but there is a way of transforming the programing around money and that is to shift from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.

A growth mindset will help you heal your past trauma. From there you will create more happiness for yourself by looking at things from a higher perspective. It will help you get outside of your emotional comfort zone instead of shrinking it will help you expand your consciousness, that will ultimately open doors to greater opportunities, it will also help you attract likeminded people in your life.  It is vital to unlearn your limiting beliefs around money you have learned from everyone around you, you need to unlearn the negative patterns which keep you stuck in a cycle that makes you miserable despite of being financially stable.

If you think money is bad you will end up sabotaging yourself, be stuck, and do not know what is going on. You live in conflict because you want money but act from the old programing and it will translate in chaos. If we do not heal, we will think there is something wrong with us, we will feel guilty and we will lack self-compassion to take the right decision to evolve emotionally. You need to identify all the wrong ideas you have around money, know where you have them from, what thinking about earning money brings to the surface, think about how having or not having money makes you feel, there are a lot of money wounds that we have and we are not even aware of them. Ultimately, this leads to us subconsciously sabotaging opportunities, relationships, love, losing money without realising where it all comes from. It’s important to know yourself and how you report yourself to money in order to find purpose and create meaning in your life which will lead to feeling fulfilled.  Why not have money and enjoying it at the same time?

Once you identify your money wounds and blocks you need to reframe it and work on yourself until you are comfortable around money, having it, giving it, spending it, using it for what it is, a tool to improve your lifestyle. Having money is not a substitute, it is not supposed to replace anything but many people assume it is, mainly because that is all they know. Although is not a substitute for many things it certainly is a catalyst for an amazing lifestyle, an enticement to go after what we want but in order to enjoy it you have to transform the fears you have around it , being afraid will cloud your judgement and you will take the wrong decisions . Do not allow how other’s view money to stop you from having a healthy relationship with it and see money for what it is, a tool to help you carve a better future.

The way you see money is one of the most important aspect and predictor of how your finance will look like in the future. Our mindset around money develops from a young age and it has to do with how our parents managed their money, the country we come from, later on our spouse, friends, everyone will influence the way we view and manage our finances. Recognise what influence does to you and spend money on something that brings you value not liabilities that bring you stress, think about your future self. You do not want to cause yourself unnecessary stress.

When you say to yourself ‘I made it’, I hope you feel like you have made it in a way that feels uplifting not like a burden. Life is similar to an algorithm; you get more of what you focus on, and so focus on what makes you come alive. Money makes you constrict or expand. How does it make you feel and what do you focus on when it comes to money?
